Will I have to disrobe?
Most of our programmes are hands on therapies and in the case of the massage diploma people will have to disrobe at some stage. However, we at the Irish Academy are conscious of people’s modesty and therefore will not ask people to disrobe in the first couple of classes. We have also devised a number of mobilisation and assisted stretching exercises (which do not require removal of clothing) for the first couple of classes which students practice on each other. This helps increase confidence and promotes relaxation. Students will also be instructed in the use of towels for draping clients so as to ensure minimal exposure.

What support can I expect throughout the programme?
